My favorite three word phrases:
1. I love you.
2. School is cancelled.
3. Two Hour Delay.
There is something absolutely delicious about that early morning phone call when you hear those three little words from your partner teacher, “Two hour delay.” It means a few more hours of sleep. A reprieve from an inhumanely early waking time and driving to work in the dark in inclement weather.
For every twenty happy, snoring children out there during a two hour delay – there is also a teacher who is just as happy and drowsy.
