I had no idea that the central question in marriage had nothing to do with big topics such as religion, politics, culture, or other potentially conflicting ideas.
The central question of marriage is, “What is for dinner?” …and alternatively, “When will it be ready?”
When I was single, I didn’t care what the answer was. I’d figure it out when I got there. It might be soup or cereal…or it might be something fabulous. It really depended on what I felt like that night and the energy I had available after a full day at school.
Obviously, this is a topic on everyone’s mind because the Google search term that leads legions of people to my blog most often is “spinach and rice.”
On July 3rd, I participated in Ann Kroeker’s Food on Friday Carnival and wrote about, well food on Friday. Specifically spinach and rice.
Apparently it’s what everyone’s having for dinner these days because I get more hits for that word combination than anything else I’ve ever written.
So I’m considering naming every post I write “spinach and rice,” no matter the content of the post.
Ismael blows up the toaster? I finally lose it after tripping over a baby gate? Halala Mama wins a Pulitzer? It’s all getting titled\spinach and rice, baby.
lol the things that bring people to us really is surprising
you don’t even wanna KNOW what brings people to mine… *shudder*
I wish it was spinach and rice.
