Thank God Almighty, we are free at last.
School is officially out for summer. I still have some teacher type administrative work to do, but the daily pressure of lesson plans and grading is alleviated for the next few months. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. Teachers enjoy summer every bit as much as the children do!
I have so many important things to do this summer like getting my hair back to blonde (the dark brown dye was a seriously bad post-pregnancy idea), battling weeds on my patio, and actually cleaning the parts of my apartment that haven’t been seen or touched since my mother in law came to visit. Hello, ceiling fan!
As you can see, I have a very full summer planned.
Of course, what I am most longing for is to spend every day with Adam. He doesn’t know it, but we have big plans this summer. Crawling. Going to the park. Taking long naps. Crawling, he can do by himself, but I’ll join him for the rest. And while we’re at it, if he could get over this whole spitting up thing, that would be great. I’m clearly over it already.
I love summer.
